Starbucks' Pumpkin Spice Latte is back on the menu and that can only mean one thing: Fall Is Here!
Fall is the season where all your hard work for the year starts paying off. Make sure your closet is ready with these cold-season essentials.
The first step to preparing for the cold is figuring out what you consider fall weather. Depending on how far North you are, Fall can mean thick sweaters and booties or unreasonable heat if you're closer to the South.
Do you need a thick coat or is a jacket enough to keep the chills away? Can you get away with layering summer tops or do you reach for the biggest blanket in your house at the first sign of Fall? Knowing what weather to expect in your area will not only keep you warm but help you plan how to look good while you're at it.
The reality is that as much as we'd love to stay wrapped in our blankets in the colder months we still need to step outside and brave the cold every now and then.
The good news is that you can do so in a warm and comfy pair of boots. No matter the weather a good pair of boots can go a long way to keeping you warm when the weather outside is trying to keep you #forevercold.
Play around with different boot styles and find your ideal fit to beat down the cold this season.
Oversized Sweaters and Knits
Aka a wearable hug. Oversized sweaters are the perfect piece in your closet to keep you warm while watching Netflix on the couch or running a Zoom meeting in your home office. Layered or left alone, oversized sweaters offer multiple outfit options without playing the "I have nothing to wear" game.
Chunky Knits on the other hand add texture to your wardrobe without losing any of the comfort. Knits, in general, do a good job of elevating your outfit and working with you to add another element of interest to your style.
Sweatpants' more stylish cousin, Joggers are more tailored, easier to dress up, and very comfortable to wear. In this WFH environment dressing in style and dressing in comfort can go hand in hand. And most joggers have the benefits of pockets for when you need to go for your Starbucks run.
The time for beach cover-ups might be over but that doesn't mean you can't play around with winter accessories to. Try matching your winter hat to your clothes or use your scarf as a statement piece.
